Accommodation November 2005
Delighted to read your website, to which I am alerted by the players of ancient
battles with their miniature soldiers, the "Anderida Weekend", which
I as a Pevensey Bay resident started off several years ago and which Eric Cruttenden
(Eastbourne Men-at-Arms Wargames Society) continues. James Parker's Anderida
website links to yours. From Australia I intend to return for the event (the
last time was 3 years ago) and am looking for accommodation within walking distance
for a nonagenarian from the venue (Bay Hotel+Aqua Club) from Tues 8 Nov to Monday
morning 14th Nov (or maybe Sunday evening 13th). Any suggestions? Price IS a
factor. Best wishes

Feature info
Hello
I am a freelance journalist who is writing a feature on Pevensey for the county
magazine.
I have been surfing your excellent website and wondered whether you could help?
Are there any unusual local characters in the village; or any with a fascinating
tale to tell of life in Pevensey? Do you know of any quirky stories that are
not widely known?
I gather an ITV film crew was 'in town' last week making some kind of property
development programme - was it Pevensey or Pevensey Bay? Do you know if TV/film
crews have been in the village in the past?
Also, I know that ghosts play a rather big part at Pevensey - at the Castle,
The Smugglers and Mint House. Is there anybody who is the local sage on things
supernatural? Also, does Pevensey Bay have any ghostly connections? Do you know
of any locals who have seen/heard any ghostly apparitions/noises?
Sorry for so many questions! We want to make this an interesting piece, not
just a travel log of two lovely East Sussex villages.
Many thanks
