The Speed Indicator Device (SID) has already been granted 10 sites in Pevensey
Bay, but none have been agreed for Pevensey.
Already, six volunteers have said that they will be willing to give their time
up to run the machine.
The SID was brought by Pevensey Parish Council as 'a nicer way' to tackle the
problems of speeding motorists in their villages.
The council owns a share of the machine, along with Ninfield and Hooe parish
councils.
Councillors want to cut the amount of speed-related accidents on the roads.
Residents of Pevensey and Pevensey Bay have often highlighted the problem of
speeding in their neighbourhoods.
The council will be bringing SID to meet members of the public at its annual
parish meeting on April 26 at 7pm.
