Toilet block by the sea sells for £70,000

A mystery buyer has paid £70,000 for a public toilet in East Sussex.

The toilet in Pevensey Bay features four urinals and two cubicles, reports the Daily Mail.

Although the property is by the sea, it doesn't have an ocean view because it overlooks a row of houses.

Estate agent Sarah Curran said: "People would ring up incredibly embarrassed to ask for details about a former public loo, while others would just call up and say 'about the bog...'

"It's suitable for smaller buyers and developers and for retired people thinking of turning it into a holiday chalet."

The toilet block was put on the market by Wealden District Council.

It has been granted planning permission to be converted into a two-bedroom cottage.
