UPDATE :

After the storms again (see 2001) all the beach that was replaced has again been washed away. So the options are:

• Keep Recharging the Beach, cheap but risky
• Get proper sea defence put in (this should have been a condition on Eastbourne Marina being built) as per the 1992 proposals
• Demolish Eastboune Marina, to return the tidal and single flow to pre 1996 levels
