A brief update to confirm that the final Beachlands delivery was made this morning. Machines will shape the newly delivered shingle this afternoon before tracking along to Sovereign Harbour.
It is quite likely that there will be some cliffing to this material over the forthcoming spring tides. I therefore intend for the bulldozer to revisit Beachlands after the Sovereign Harbour work is complete so that any cliffing can be minimised.
The forecast does now show that there is the likelihood of some weather disruption
during the next few days, but it may be that the south coast escapes the worst
of the conditions. If there is no further disruption the final delivery will
be on the afternoon of Tuesday 6th July.
