Primarily of interest to Sovereign Harbour residents, we have today started a 4 day operation to transfer shingle from Langney Point round to the east side of the harbour. Work will not go on beyond Friday.
Normally this work is constrained to the period October to March inclusive, however on this occasion Eastbourne BC agreed it was sensible to avoid the school holidays at the end of March and delay the work into early April.
Lorries will not start at Langney before 07:30 so should not reach the north harbour before 07:45, and work will finish at 17:00 each afternoon.
