2005 Beach - News - 2nd September

Further to Wednesday’s message, we are now reaching the conclusion of work at Beachlands. Sospan Dau will deliver final loads at noon and midnight today, before returning to Sovereign Harbour for two further loads. These will be deposited on the 00:50 and 13:10 high tides on Monday.

Shingle will be recovered from the foreshore not before 07:30 on Monday morning and again that evening. The cliffing already evident in the material already placed will also be removed. Thereafter the bulldozer will be retained for the forthcoming autumn and winter to help keep as much of the new material in place as possible and to remove further cliffing as it appears.

If you have any queries or comment please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes

Ian
