This summer sees the start of year six of the sea defence contract, and in
keeping with other years we will be holding a public forum in St. Wilfrids
Hall to keep residents informed of works that have been and continue to take
place as part of the scheme.
This year it will be on Thursday 20th April between 14:30 & 17:30
To make it more appealing to the community in general we invite other groups
to provide information that should be useful to those living in the coastal
zone;
Environment Agency explain Flood Warning systems, Flood risk mapping
on the internet, how homes can be protected from flooding, and the duties of
an environmental officer
Wealden DC - Planning for Emergencies and Sea Road Car Park information centre
Pevensey Community Action Group - How the community is working to improve life
for all residents
East Sussex Coastal Biodiversity Identify rare plants and animals and
how to help protect them
Pevensey & Westham Historical Society - History of Pevensey & Westham
parishes told through pictures
Local artist and birdwatcher Alan Everard - recognise local birds & purchase
Coastal Landscapes from film & as watercolours
All residents are invited to attend, so please distribute this email to anyone
who might be interested. And as usual if you have any queries or comments you
know where to find me
Have a good weekend
