2006 Beach - News - 24th October

Up until Thursday last week it appeared that delaying the annual beach replenishment until October had not been a problem. Since then we have had no deliveries of shingle due to wave conditions either in the dredge area and/or on the beach. Hopefully tonight will see a restart of operations with a delivery over the midnight high tide.

We believe we will need a further 8 or 9 deliveries to provide the necessary volume of beach. Hopefully this can be achieved by either Sunday or Monday.
