Our annual Public Forum has traditionally been close to Easter and 2007 is no exception. What is different however is that this year it will be held in the recently completed Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club building between 14:30 and 19:00 on Wednesday 11th April.
The clubhouse is easy to find; turn south at the Asda roundabout and go straight ahead into the main marina car park, and it is just across the road at the far end of the car park next to the marina launch ramp and close to the Carillion offices.
All residents are welcome to come along and discuss any issues relating to the sea defences or just be nosey and see what the SHYC building is like!
Please pass this email and attached advertising flyer on to any friends, family or acquaintances who may be interested in learning more about the defences and the works regularly undertaken to protect all low-lying land behind.
In addition to the organisations listed, I now hope that Paul Stratford will be there to provide details of The Resolution Centre. This represents his vision to convert the Martello tower on the west side of Sovereign Harbour entrance into the HQ for a Shipwreck & Maritime Museum and Education Centre, paying particular attention to the warship Resolution, which foundered off Normans Bay in the great storm of 1703 and was only discovered in 2005.
I look forward to seeing many residents at the Forum next week.
Best wishes for a warm and pleasant Easter
Ian
