2007 Beach - News - 9th August

Sospan Dau made her final delivery of shingle on yesterday’s 19:45 high tide and it will have been bladed into position by the end of this afternoon, thus completing this year’s recharge campaign.

The next anticipated work will be in September or October, when we will recycle shingle into Herbrand Walk (railway crossing), Normans Bay East, Beachlands and (assuming the new material has started to erode) Sovereign Harbour. This will help prepare for the forthcoming winter, but will not start as long as the weather stays warm, calm and sunny.

I am sure I am not alone in hoping the current good weather continues for several weeks to come.

Best wishes

Ian
