With no windy weather predicted for the next few days, the final three high
tides of spring are not expected to create any problems. All machines moving
shingle left the beach on Friday, and with luck will not need to return until
the autumn. One bulldozer remains to remove ruts from the beach crest and generally
re-grade disturbed areas. This should finish early next week. Two men will be
going along the beach on the early morning low tide this week removing any loose
or protruding groyne parts. These may be piled at the top of the beach for a
couple of days before being collected by a small dumper.
Hopefully there will be a long and pleasant summer to enjoy before it all starts
again in the autumn.
Best wishes
Ian
